How we repair a water pump

  1. Check the system

We check the pump, pressure vessel, pressure settings, pipework and the water supply feeding the pump.

  2. Explain the options

Repair, part replacement or a new pump. You get a free written quote before any work starts.

  3. Repair or replace

We fit the parts or the new pump, with new flexible hoses, seals or a pressure vessel where they are needed.

  4. Test and report

We set the pressures, test the system and send you a report with photos.

Booster set, borehole or rainwater pump?

Water supply pumps come in several kinds. A booster set raises the pressure of mains or tank water. A borehole pump lifts water from underground. A rainwater pump moves harvested water to where it is used. Each fails in its own way, so the fault finding starts with how your system is arranged.

We work on all makes, including Grundfos, DAB, Lowara, Wilo and Ebara. We are independent, so we recommend the pump that suits your system.

Questions

Water pump repair: common questions

Why does my water pump keep switching on and off?

The most common cause is a pressure vessel that has lost its air charge or has a failed membrane. A leak in the system or a faulty pressure switch can also cause it.

Is it better to repair or replace a water pump?

It depends on the pump's age and condition and whether parts are available. We find the fault first, explain the options and give you a free written quote before any work starts.

Which water pumps do you repair?

Booster sets, borehole pumps, rainwater pumps, sump and submersible pumps, and the pressure vessels and controls that go with them. We work on all makes.

Is a quote really free?
